UNICHEM-3003 is a high performance boiler water anti-foam scientifically formulated for use in boilers to prevent the production of foam within the boiler system.
Blend of polyols specifically designed to control foaming in boilers caused by oil contamination, excessively high dissolved solids and/or alkalinity, and many types of process contamination. UNICHEM-3003 reduces surface tension, breaks oil emulsions, and maintains boiler water conditions to assure normal steam release at the water-steam interface. Foaming and the probability of carryover are minimized.
UNICHEM-3003 is developed for preventing unwanted foaming within boiler systems.
Form: | Liquid |
Colour: | Clear colourless |
pH: | 4. – 6.5 |
Cloud Point: | 21 – 27°C (70 – 81°F) |
Target dosage range for UNICHEM-3003 is 0.5 – 5.0ppm as product in the boiler feed water, or as needed.
UNICHEM-3003 should be fed neat or as part of an appropriate mix to the boiler feed water system where it can be uniformly mixed and thoroughly distributed using a chemical metering pump.
Appropriate use of UNICHEM-3003 following the above dosing strategy will prevent the production of foam in the boiler system thus reducing the potential for carry-over.
It is always advisable to carry out a ‘Control of Substances Hazardous to Health’ (COSHH) assessment before use.
